Extrusion Perforation Highest Strength Seamless Titanium Tube Gr12 TiMoNi ASTM B338 Cold Rolling Annealing Tube
Description
Titanium tubes are the ninth most abundant element in the earth’s crust and the seventh most abundant metal. Its low density, slightly over half that of steel, and its high strength combination is the reason for the metals growing preference in both military and commercial aircraft. The alloying of titanium tubing with elements such as aluminum and vanadium increase the strength of titanium while at the same time retains its weight advantage over steel.
Titanium is classified in two categories, commercially pure and alloys with additives such as aluminum and vanadium. We are a titanium tubing manufacturer and supplier, and our inventories consist of both types and cover both seamless and welded methods of manufacture.

Titanium Grades:
Titanium Grade 1 is an unalloyed, low strength titanium product containing low oxygen with high formability; this titanium grade is used in airframes, heat exchangers and desalination units.
Grade 1 commercially pure titanium wire is especially acid-cleaned for anodizing applications but is also ideal for a wide range of fabrication uses. It is ductile and can be formed with a bit of effort. The metal is corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic.
Titanium Grade 2 is an unalloyed, medium strength titanium product. This titanium grade is used in airframes, aircraft engines, and marine parts; good weld ability and corrosion resistance are its distinguishing characteristics.
Grade 2 is the commercially pure titanium used in most of the chemical processing plants and is cold formable. Grade 2 plate and sheet can have ultimate tensile strength at and above 40,000 psi.
Titanium Grade 3 is an unalloyed, high strength, titanium product providing excellent corrosion resistance and good weld ability. This titanium grade is primarily used in airframe and aircraft engine parts.
Titanium Grade 4 is the highest strength pure unalloyed titanium product. This titanium grade is used almost exclusively for airframe, aircraft engine parts, marine, surgical implants, hydraulic tubing. Good formability and corrosion resistance are its hallmark.
Titanium Grade 5 (6AL-4V) is an alloyed titanium product containing 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium; is a medium strength product. This titanium grade is predominantly used in airframe and turbine engine parts; and for use in surgical implants.
Grade 5 is the aerospace grade and is not cold formable, so it is used more often when no forming is needed. Grade 5 aerospace alloy will have ultimate tensile strength at and above 120,000 psi.
